October 31, 1497- The Jews were expelled from Portugal by order of King Manuel I. (This was the very last day that Jews were allowed to be in Portugal. The actual decree of expulsion was announced earlier, but the grace period ended today.)

December 7, 1948- Road of valor connecting besieged Yerushalayim with the rest of the Yishuv was opened.

 

November 25, 1979- The IDF liberate the Alma oil fields in the Gulf of Suez from Egypt.
