1298- 250 Jews were killed in Rothenburg, Germany.

 

June 25, 1401- Thirty Jews of Schaffhausen, Switzerland, who had been charged with ritual murder, were burned at the stake. Four weeks later, eighteen men and women died at the stake in Winterthur in a similar context.

 

July 1, 1776- Francis Salvador was killed during the Revolutionary War. According to some, he was the first Jew to lose his life in defense of the new United States of America.
